Skeena Gold + Silver Limited is hiring a Senior Avalanche Technician to advance safety practices at the Eskay Creek Mine in British Columbia. This position emphasizes leadership and specialized avalanche safety skills.

In this role, you'll work closely with the Lead Avalanche Technician and Health and Safety team to oversee the avalanche safety program. Your focus will be on effective risk assessments, leading forecasting operations, and mentoring team members in safety protocols. Your experience will ensure operational integrity and safety during winter months.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and operate the Avalanche Safety Program
- Conduct daily avalanche forecasts and risk assessments
- Provide leadership and model safety best practices




- Create and deliver training materials for staff
- Co-facilitate emergency response drills and training

Requirements:
- CAA Avalanche qualified with Level 2 certification
- WorkSafeBC blasting certification with necessary endorsements
- Advanced first aid certificate (minimum 80hr)
- 6+ seasons of experience in avalanche roles
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
