Senior Azure Cloud Solution Architect to oversee solution architecture activities for a new back-office system program Job Type: Contract Pay Rate: Hourly: Negotiable Our crown corporation client is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Solution Architect to oversee solution architecture activities for a new back-office system program ensuring effective coordination across cloud, container, database, integration, security, and operations teams! Initial 2-year contract opportunity with strong possibility of a 1-year extension. Candidates with the ability to work on-site 12 days/month in Ottawa will be preferred, however 100% remote options are available. 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

Oversee core technology services solution architecture activities for a new back-office system program ensuring effective coordination across cloud, container, database, integration, security, and operations teams ~ Develop, maintain, and govern the end-to-end Solution Architecture Document (SAD) and architecture decision records ensuring architecture deliverables remain current, complete, and aligned with program objectives ~ Facilitate architecture reviews, technical assessments, risk identification, and governance activities, supporting compliance with architectural standards, governance committees, and project approval requirements ~ Ensure solution delivery alignment across Azure, OpenShift, SQL, IBM MQ, networking, security, and observability workstreams to support successful program outcomes ~ Coordinate the resolution of cross-functional technical dependencies, issues, and risks to enable progression through development, testing, deployment, and production milestones ~ Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, platform services, and engineering teams to deliver secure, resilient, scalable, and supportable technology solutions that meet business and operational requirements ~10+years of demonstrated experience in information technology, with at least 5 years of experience in Solution Architecture supporting complex enterprise technology environments ~5+ years of recent demonstrated experience architecting and delivering cloud-native and container-based solutions using Azure , Azure Red Hat OpenShift , Red Hat OpenShift, and/or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) , including both server-based and serverless application architectures ~ Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Azure IaaS infrastructure, networking, security, data protection, and workload portability solutions,
