Site Operational Focus : With the support of your operational team, you will be responsible for the profitability of the projects under your supervision. You will ensure that each project is carried out without accidents and that it meets budgets, schedules, and the standards of both the client and Mécanitec.
Human Resources Focus : You will supervise and support your operational team to help them maintain strong performance levels and achieve their full potential through coaching, support, and evaluation. You will be at the heart of your team’s labor relations and must intervene when issues arise to improve productivity and/or the work climate. Key Activities and Responsibilities Promote and ensure adherence to our values in all operations
- Develop original approaches that allow us to offer clients competitive pricing while achieving the expected gross profit margin
- Supervise the preparation of bids for your projects
- Conduct regular job site and client visits
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients
- Promote and ensure prevention in all operations
- Participate in risk assessments for your projects in collaboration with the Health &
- Safety Specialist
- Take responsibility for project tracking (costs and schedules), from design to drafting, fabrication, and installation, to achieve targeted gross margins
- Oversee project execution, including: Negotiating with required subcontractors
- Preparing and tracking the project schedule
- Monitoring project execution in communication with the superintendent and foreman, including regular site visits
- Ensuring ongoing client satisfaction. Coordinate and supervise your field supervision team, providing daily coaching and support
- Promote other services offered by Mécanitec
- Take necessary initiatives when required.

- Excellent knowledge of industrial maintenance processes
- Strong ability to manage industrial maintenance projects
- Ability to solve client problems innovatively and cost-effectively
- Ability to analyze business issues and project risks for both clients and Mécanitec
- Ability to manage client relationships — upstream and downstream
- Ability to coach less experienced project managers and job site supervisory staff
- Knowledge of the Québec and Canadian industrial maintenance markets
- Strong leadership with project teams and in interpersonal relationships
- Excellent communication and listening skills (with clients and colleagues)
- Demonstrated competency through previous project achievements
- Technical training in mechanical engineering, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, another related field, or relevant industrial experience;
Experience in industrial project management
- Bilingualism, an asset.
