We are currently seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. This is a great prospect for a qualified who wants to build and grow a team, take on current projects, and help secure new work.

Our Transportation team engages in projects of varying sizes and scope, working with multiple federal, provincial, and municipal clients and other partners. Our team provides integrated professional services throughout the full project lifecycle from initial policy and business case advice, through concept and detailed design, inspection, and construction administration.

Responsibilities:

Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities, including:

- Function as Project Manager or Design Manager on projects for public, private, and contractor clients across a range of delivery models, including design-bid-build, design-build, progressive design-build, and alternative delivery.
- Support transportation planning and traffic engineering projects through technical analysis and evaluation. Experience with transportation modelling, traffic analysis, and design software is considered an asset.
- Prepare project work plans and schedules in collaboration with project managers and technical teams.
- Work effectively both independently and within a collaborative environment,



communicating professionally with team members and clients.
- Provide technical support for roadway and highway projects from concept development through detailed design and construction.
- Oversee the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents while managing multiple deliverables.
- Conduct site visits as required.
- Develop and implement QA/QC processes, ensuring applicable standards are followed.
- Champion project delivery best practices, quality, and safety.
- Provide thought leadership, technical expertise, mentorship, and support for business growth initiatives.

Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution, with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience working in transportation in Western Canada
- Professional Engineer in Alberta.
- Experience using technical standards including Highway Geometric Design Guide.
- Experience with design reports, drawings, tender preparation, specifications, cost estimates, construction staging, and traffic accommodation.
- Strong technical background with experience managing multidisciplinary projects and teams, including setting project objectives, reviewing deliverables, providing design direction, and managing schedule, budget, and risk.
