Senior Network

Engineer responsibilities include managing and optimizing in-house and cloud-based networks, developing and implementing network security protocols, and troubleshooting network issues. You have extensive experience managing a hybrid network (Azure preferred) that is highly available and fault tolerant. The primary goal of the Senior Network Engineer is to ensure the smooth operation of the network infrastructure to provide maximum performance and availability for the system users.

Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN) Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations Perform cost estimation and identify mechanisms for cost control and containment Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability Monitor system resource utilization, trending and capacity planning Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure Select and implement security tools, policies,



and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutions Ensure security and compliance with policies and procedures Provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve network related issues Stay updated with the latest trends in networking Document and maintain network environment configurations and diagrams Provide assistance and mentoring to other IT team members 10+ years of experience as a Network Engineer 5+ years of experience in a senior role Deep understanding of network protocols (e.g., Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model Hands‑on experience with monitoring, network diagnostics and network analytics tools Experience with both on‑premises and cloud (Azure preferred) networks Professional certifications in networking Experience with Fortinet network devices and firewalls Experience designing and managing networks to optimize VoIP traffic Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field Home office based with occasional travel to client sites.
