Job Overview
Go 2 Foundation Repair Ltd. is looking for an experienced, dependable and physically capable Labourer to join our residential foundation repair crew for the remainder of our 2026 season.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on position involving residential foundation repair, excavation and working in and around trenches. Applicants must be comfortable with extensive manual labour and working outdoors for long days in varying weather conditions.
Previous trench experience and Ground Disturbance Level I or II certification are required for this position.
Our job sites are located throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas, including Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, Leduc and other surrounding communities.
Duties
- Perform extensive hand digging and shovelling, including areas where a mini excavator cannot access
- Work safely in and around excavations and trenches
- Assist with residential foundation repairs
- Assist with excavation, backfilling and site preparation
- Lift, carry and move tools, materials and supplies throughout the workday
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely
- Assist crew members as required throughout all stages of foundation repair
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Follow company procedures and job-site safety requirements
- Assist with general site cleanup at the completion of jobs
Physical Requirements This position involves heavy physical/manual labour throughout the workday.
Applicants must be able to:
- Repeatedly lift and carry 50 lbs
- Perform extensive digging and shovelling
- Bend, lift, carry,
climb and work on uneven terrain
- Work in and around excavations and trenches
- Remain physically active for extended periods
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Be capable of working 10–12 hour days, which are common depending on the job
Required Qualifications
- Ground Disturbance Level I or II certification — REQUIRED
- Previous experience working in and around trenches — REQUIRED
- Valid driver’s licence — REQUIRED
- Own reliable vehicle/transportation — REQUIRED
- Must provide your own CSA-approved 6” steel-toe work boots
- Must be physically capable of performing heavy manual labour throughout the workday
- Able to repeatedly lift and carry 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
- Able to work effectively as part of a crew
- Solid awareness of job-site safety
Please note: Our work takes us throughout Edmonton and the greater surrounding area. Job sites are not always accessible by public transit or taxi, so a valid driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle are mandatory.
Schedule
- Sunday–Monday
- Days and hours vary depending on job site, workload and weather
- 7:00 a.m. is our earliest and most common start time
- 10–12 hour workdays are common
- Seasonal position for the remainder of the 2026 season
- Potential opportunity for rehire for the 2027 season
Compensation $21.00–$25.00/hour, based on experience and performance.
Regular wage reviews are based on performance, reliability and skill development.
