Role Description:

The Social Services Engagement Specialist is a full-time hybrid role based in Brossard, QC, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role is responsible for engaging individuals and communities served by Birbal’s programs, helping them access social services, digital inclusion initiatives, and AI-enabled resources. Day-to-day tasks include conducting needs assessments, coordinating referrals to appropriate social and community services, and providing ongoing case management and follow-up support.

The specialist will collaborate with local agencies, partner organizations,



and internal project teams to design and deliver outreach activities, workshops, and information sessions tailored to diverse communities. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, tracking outcomes, contributing to program improvement, and ensuring that services are delivered in a culturally responsive, respectful, and inclusive manner.

Qualifications

- Background in Social Work and Human Services, with the ability to support individuals and families navigating complex social systems.
- Experience in Case Management and Social Services, including assessment, referral, advocacy, and ongoing client support.
- Skills in Community Outreach, with demonstrated capacity to build trust, engage diverse communities, and facilitate access to resources.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with a commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment in Brossard, QC, managing both in-person and remote responsibilities.
- Organizational and documentation skills, including accurate record-keeping and use of digital tools or case management systems.
- Experience collaborating with non-profit organizations, public agencies, or community groups; familiarity with AI or digital inclusion initiatives is an asset.
- Relevant post-secondary education in Social Work, Human Services, Community Development, or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
