DBA Consulting Engineers is seeking an Architectural or Engineering Technologist to join our practice in the St. John’s metro area.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 3–5 years of experience who enjoys the technical side of building design and is interested in developing deeper expertise in structural engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare structural drawings and details
- Conduct site visits, field measurements and document existing conditions
- Translate design and engineering direction into accurate construction documents
- Coordinate drawings with clients, contractors and other project professionals
- Assist with project revisions, permitting and construction documentation
- Identify technical and constructability concerns
- Support projects from initial site review through construction

QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Architectural Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology or a related discipline
- Approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is an asset
- Understanding of residential and/or commercial construction
- Interest in structural engineering and building systems
- Strong technical, organizational and communication skills




- Ability to manage multiple projects and work with limited supervision
- Located in or willing to relocate to the St. John’s metro area
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a vehicle

Previous structural drafting, site-measurement or construction experience would be an asset. We are also interested in architectural technologists who have solid technical skills and want to develop their structural knowledge.
