Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sushi using traditional techniques, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
- Handle fresh seafood, rice, vegetables, and other ingredients with proper food safety and hygiene practices
- Cook rice to the perfect texture and flavor, adhering to authentic recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, following all food handling protocols
- Assist in meal preparation for various sushi dishes, including rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty items
- Serve guests with friendly and efficient food service,
providing knowledge about menu items when needed
- Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe dining environment for everyone
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with sushi making or Japanese cuisine is a strong plus
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards within the food industry
- Familiarity with serving guests in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Experience in meal preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or similar setting
