We are a family run swine operation of 1100 sows located near Mitchell, Ontario and we are looking for a Swine Technician who believes in team work.

We are looking for a person for farrowing/breeding who will be a team player, self-starter and have good organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to: assisting with supervising farrowing, ability to handle all aspects of the farrowing barn such as midwifery, fostering, processing, vaccinating, herd health and weaning, assisting with supervising the breeding area, ability to handle all aspects of the breeding barn such as performing AI, herd health, feeding sows, vaccinating, and ultrasound, also able to keep accurate records and possess a valuable affinity to animals. Nedap knowledge would be an asset. Minimum 1 year experience and a valid driver's license is required.

The starting pay is $20/hours, vacation entitlement, bonus potential and health benefits. The work schedule is a 3 week rotation, working 15 out of 21 days and every 3rd weekend. Our work hours are 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
