Position Description

Purpose and Accountability

Reporting to the Manager, Health Science Service, this job oversees the day to day operational requirements by effectively coordinating the activities and human resources of the Health Science Service Team.

Major responsibilities

- Oversees the day to day operations of the Health Science Service Team within the service areas including the monitoring and evaluation of service needs and resources, and the scheduling and assignment of caseloads.
- Identifies and coordinates materials and resources to support program delivery.
- Provides expertise into the continuous renewal and development of the team including policies and practices and recommendations for improvement to the overall program based on current thinking and advancements in inclusive integrated practices.
- Participates in the recruitment and selection of members of the professional team, and provides orientation to new team members, mentors and supports colleagues.




- Provides organizational and leadership guidance to team members in the delivery of services.
- Monitors performance of service delivery. Supports team members in receiving required training and opportunities for growth and skill development to equip them to provide effective levels of service and to enhance required job competencies.
- Accountable for the provision of services including assessment, consultation and the delivery of educational workshops.
- Analyzes statistical reports with a view to contributing towards department change and continuous improvement.

Qualifications Education and Experience

- A minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline. Consideration may be given to those with a Bachelor’s Degree and significant professional experience.
- Must be licensed, chartered or registered with the relevant Professional College or Association.
- A minimum of 3 years school-based experience.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies

- Excellent clinical judgment and interpersonal/communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in a leadership capacity
