We are seeking a temporary part-time (0.5 FTE) educational assistant to provide child support in an inclusive setting.
Desired Qualifications Include The Following
- Experience working with students in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students and staff.
- Experience and training in working with children with diverse learning needs.
- Experience working with children with diverse physical needs and challenging behaviours.
- Experience in working collaboratively with a Learning Support Team.
- NVCI and/or SIVA training would be an asset.
- Educational Assistant certification and/or Health Care Aide certification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of American Sign Language and/or Assistive Technology is an asset.
- Physically fit and able to keep up with the demands of working with students with a variety of complex needs.
The position will start when a suitable candidate is found and will conclude on June 29, 2026. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
