Welder-Fitter / Fabrication Technician
Full-Time | Permanent | Year-Round Burlington, Ontario | GTA Worksites
Average 40–50 Hours per Week
Service Plus Aquatics Inc. is looking for an experienced Welder-Fitter / Fabrication Technician to join our team specializing in high-end custom stainless steel pools, water features and architectural aquatic installations.

This position is based at our Burlington fabrication facility, with travel as part of the team to project sites throughout Toronto and the GTA as required.
What You'll Be Doing
- Fabricate and install custom stainless steel pools, water features and structures
- Work with 316L/304L stainless steel, structural steel and light-gauge materials
- Perform TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding
- Perform fitting, layout, assembly and fabrication work
- Read and work from blueprints, drawings and technical specifications
- Operate fabrication equipment including shear, brake, CNC mandrel bender, drill press, iron worker and overhead cranes
- Polish and finish stainless steel components to a high aesthetic standard
- Fit, assemble and install pools, water walls and architectural features
- Assist with on-site installations throughout Toronto and the GTA
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area
What We're Looking For
- Strong TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding skills are required
- Strong hands-on experience with fitting, layout and welding, including structural steel, pipe, plate and sheet metal
- Ability to independently read and work from blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with fabrication tools, machinery and equipment
- Stainless steel finishing and polishing experience is an asset
- Mechanical or process plumbing knowledge is an asset
- Construction experience such as carpentry, tiling, concrete or waterproofing is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Reliable, safety-focused and able to work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Physically capable of performing industrial and fabrication work, including lifting up to approximately 70 lbs.
- Valid G-Class driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Reliable transportation to report to our Burlington facility
- Willing and able to travel with the team to GTA jobsites as required
- Must have your own welding helmet
- Must have your own basic hand tools in accordance with the Service Plus Aquatics Inc. required tool list
- Required tools will be reimbursed in accordance with Company policy
- Must have required personal PPE, including CSA-approved steel-toe safety footwear
- Bondable and dependable
