Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Conduct routine inspections of trucks and trailers before and after trips, identifying maintenance needs or safety issues
- Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, delivery logs, and inspection reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and pickups




- Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to company policies

Skills

- 2-3 years experience in commercial driving with a valid Class 1 license
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to trucking and heavy equipment use
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- High level of responsibility, punctuality, and attention to detail
