We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck when required.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the vehicle and handling freight.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record is preferred.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations is beneficial.
- Solid problem-solving skills, particularly in automotive repair situations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
