Prairie Diagnostic Services Inc. is a full-service veterinary diagnostic laboratory located at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. We provide diagnostic testing and expertise that supports animal health across Saskatchewan and beyond.
We are seeking two knowledgeable and detail-oriented Laboratory Technologists to join our Clinical Pathology team on a permanent full-time basis. This posting will also be used to fill a 1 year term position in the same work unit.
The successful candidates will perform a variety of diagnostic laboratory procedures, prepare and analyze veterinary specimens, operate automated laboratory equipment and computerized instrumentation, review quality control and test results, and contribute to the delivery of accurate and timely diagnostic information.
This position works across multiple areas of Clinical Pathology, including hematology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, blood banking, cytology preparation and endocrinology.
Typical hours of work are eight-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with shared weekend and holiday rotations.
As part of the laboratory environment, employees may be exposed to unknown or potentially pathogenic microorganisms.
