Role Description This full-time Welder role is an on-site position located in Northern Rockies, BC. The Welder will perform a variety of welding tasks, including fabrication, repair, and installation of metal components for industrial projects. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting drawings, preparing materials, setting up welding equipment, and performing welds that meet safety and quality standards.

The role also involves inspecting finished work, troubleshooting welding issues, and collaborating with millwrights and other team members to complete projects efficiently.



The Welder is expected to follow all workplace safety protocols and assist with general mechanical tasks as required.

Qualifications

- Strong welding skills, including Welding and Arc Welding, with the ability to work on industrial equipment and structures.
- Proficiency in TIG Welding and MIG Welding for various materials and project requirements.
- Solid understanding of Materials used in industrial welding, including properties, appropriate uses, and safety considerations.
- Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship in welding (e.g., Red Seal or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience in industrial or mechanical contracting environments, ideally including millwright or industrial moving work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Commitment to safety, including familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations and use of PPE.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, working at heights, and in varied site conditions.
- Solid teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a reliable and professional work ethic.
