Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Tower Lead / Windows Defender Architect to lead enterprise security operations and endpoint protection initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Windows Defender and robust experience leading cybersecurity tool towers in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the Cyber Security Tools Tower and provide technical leadership for endpoint security initiatives.
- Act as the Windows Defender Architect / SME, providing expert guidance on Microsoft Defender solutions.
- Design, implement, and optimize Windows Defender security solutions across enterprise environments.
- Lead security tool strategy, architecture, deployment, configuration, and ongoing optimization.
- Monitor and improve endpoint protection, threat detection, incident response, and security posture.
- Collaborate with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, and Operations teams.
- Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex security issues.
- Establish security standards, best practices, governance, and operational procedures.




- Lead security tool upgrades, migrations, integrations, and technology transformation initiatives.
- Mentor technical teams and provide expert-level guidance on Microsoft Defender technologies.
- Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience in Cyber Security / Endpoint Security / Security Engineering.
- Expert-level experience with Microsoft Windows Defender / Microsoft Defender.
- Strong experience as a Windows Defender Architect / Technical Lead / SME.
- Proven experience leading a Cyber Security Tools Tower or similar security technology function.
- Strong understanding of endpoint protection, threat detection, EDR/XDR, and security monitoring.
- Experience with enterprise-scale security architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Calgary, AB.

Preferred Certification

- Microsoft Defender / Windows Defender certification or relevant Microsoft Security certification is highly preferred.
