SB TRUCKING LTD., based in Surrey, BC, is currently hiring Long Haul Truck Drivers to join our growing team as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Plan travel routes and make necessary arrangements
- Load and unload goods
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Inspect vehicle systems (tires, lights, brakes, refrigeration unit, etc.)
- Perform and document pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
- Perform emergency roadside repairs when required
- Ensure the safety and security of cargo
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
- Handle delivery payments when required
Job Requirements:
- Language: English
- Education: Completion of secondary school
- License: Valid Class 1 or Class A driver’s license with a clean driving record (driver’s abstract required upon request)
- Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years, or
- 3 years of experience within the last 5 years
- No at fault accident in the last 3 years and No major violation
