The Role

The Superintendent is accountable for all site safetyrequirements including contractor management. This position is responsible for overseeingall work on site and ensuring that the physical work is completed withinbudget, on schedule and in accordance with the contract documents.

The Superintendent is committed to minimizing the cost of the project through theefficient use of field staff, equipment, and materials.

What You Bring





- 10-15years of commercial construction experience with a proven track record ofprojects being delivered on time and on budget.
- Effectivenessin the areas of construction safety and productivity, contractormanagement, construction planning and execution, project organization andconstruction project controls.
- Possessstrong communication, leadership, integration, problem-solving,interfacing, scheduling, project management and interpersonal skills.
- Proficientin various software programs to implement the day-to-day site operations(drawings, deficiency lists, RFI’s, etc.)

Previous experience in Procore would be an asset.

- Professionalconduct with both internal and external customers
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licenseand a good driving record
- Havea valuable understanding and/or ability to find information as needed in theOH&S; regulations.

NICE TO HAVE

- Experiencein managing the installation of conveyance systems is an asset. Thisincludes elevators and escalators, and management of conveyancecontractors.
- Understandingof mechanical and electrical systems and their coordination with otherconstruction disciplines.
- Labourrelations expertise in both union and non-union environments is an asset.
- Previousexperience in Procore would be an asset.
- Red Seal & Gold Seal or GSI Registered an asset.
