ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking passionate Educational Assistants (EA) who are organized and looking for an enriching experience to be part of the new school team. The Educational Assistant is expected to work with behaviours related/associated with conduct, obsessive/compulsive, trauma and stress related, severe chronic depressive, feeding and/or eating disorders etc. Other behaviours related to ADHD, emotional/behavioural, learning and speech & Language-related disabilities may be encountered.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Support students' growth in the areas of cognition, communication, physical and social developmentSupport and/or implement teacher directed programmingWork collaborative under guidance of teacher, inclusive education teacher and members of a multi-disciplinary team,Implement specialist (Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Language, etc) strategies to achieve required goalsImplement behaviour management and educational strategies that facilitate student learningDocument student progress as directed.Communicate effectively with students using age appropriate positive reinforcements and/or school specific behaviour strategiesObserve student behaviour with focus on achieving positive behavioural/educational outcomes and mitigate/prevent negative onesProvide high level of structure to facilitate completion of required learning outcomesWork and play at student's physical level of their activitiesProvide support in use of adaptive and learning technologies using a variety of devices and associated programsSuccessfully implement the Positive Behaviour Plan(PBP),
