Our client is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Specialist to lead workplace safety programs within a fast-paced industrial environment. This is a hands-on role focused on compliance, risk management, training, incident investigation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and continuously improve the organization's Health & Safety program.
- Ensure compliance with applicable OHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and support the WSIB Health & Safety Excellence Program .
- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Develop and deliver safety training, orientations and communications.
- Coordinate Joint Health & Safety Committee activities.
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain safety documentation, records and reporting.
- Support internal and external audits and Ministry of Labour inspections.
- Partner with operational leadership to strengthen the overall safety culture.

Requirements





- 5+ years of hands on Health & Safety experience with ownership of safety programs.
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution or manufacturing environments.
- Working knowledge of the WSIB Health & Safety Excellence Program is required.
- OHS designation/certification is a strong asset.
- Solid knowledge of Ontario occupational health & safety legislation.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and spreadsheet development.
- Strong communication, investigation and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel between facilities as required.

This is a senior-level opportunity for an established Health & Safety professional with proven experience independently managing safety programs in an industrial environment.
