andCompetitive benefits that include a defined contribution plan, personal spending account, and so much more.Join our growing team where everyone belongs!Position DetailsThe Junior Claims Adjuster, Physical Damage is responsible for handling of automobile, long haul trucking, motorcycle, and recreational vehicle physical damage claims from the Atlantic region. The claims are of varying low to moderate complexity and the successful candidate will have a dynamic personality and the ability to excel in a high performance environment. The Junior Claims Adjuster ensures claims are properly investigated, evaluated, and resolved in a timely manner.What You Will DoInvestigate, evaluate, negotiate personal/commercial lines claims of low to moderate complexityManage challenging coverage claims with tact and professionalismTimely, accurate reserving in line with Corporate protocols and guidelinesMaintain control over expenses through pro-active handling techniquesDirect vendor partners as necessaryObtain approval from Manager on claims above authorityManage claims in litigation, participate in mediations,



pre-trials and settlement conferencesPerform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Unit ManagerSalary range is not inclusive of total compensation.The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply.Who You AreCompleted post-secondary education or equivalent experienceCIP or working towards designationMinimum of 1-3 years experience handling casualty claims or related experienceActive provincial licensing is requiredStrong organizational, decision making and problem solving skillsAbility to understand insurance contracts in various jurisdictionsKnowledge of principles and practices of claims settlement, policy wording, fraud investigations and coverage issuesAbility to cross-reference information with attention to detailStrong general computer knowledge requiredFluent in English and French would be an assetExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalWe may use AI tools to help us through the recruitment process.Our CommitmentWe are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing employment accommodation in accordance with all applicable Provincial Human Rights and Accessibility Legislation.
