The Analysts willbe responsible forachieving, in-stock, and inventory turns metricswhich support our sales and margin goals for the category. The Analyst will collaborate withmanycrossfunctionaldepartments; building strong partnerships with these groups to achieve their goals. The position willassistin ensuring Inventory levels are on target for Stores andDC’swithend resultof being in-stock for Customers that shop our stores.KeyResponsibilities:Achievein stockand turns targets for each of the categories that aremanaged by the analystfor domestic, cross border and import productsSupport the merchants in each of the categories that are managed by theanalystwith supply chainexpertiseand act as theinitialpoint of contactfor merchant and cross functional (360) team questionsProvide key reporting onKPIsto Merchandising, Senior Management.Reviewauto-replenishment toolson a daily basisto ensure stores andDCshavereasonable inventory volume flowingbased on sales forecast,minimumrequirements, product dimensions,category and eventstrategies,
store space,etcandtake action toadjustifrequired.Manuallydeterminereplenishmentquantities in cases oflow qualityforecasts,sudden shifts in demand, delays in enabling auto replenishment, etc.Supportorder optimization/changes whererequiredfor full truckloador other constraintsReview exceptions on out of stocks and overstocks andprovide options and recommendations toaddressto your category partners and leader.Managetimelines forspecial eventsincluding flyer,offshelflocations, new lower price,etcto ensuretimelyandaccuratereplenishment fortheseareas of focus.Review supply chain and merchandisingsystemdata to ensurereplenishment is not interrupted.Ensureclearanceand exit inventory iscleared from DC and vendor to support merchant strategy and category margin.Provide ad-hocafter hourssupport to storesby placing ordersfor emergenciesand natural disastersand helpingexpeditethrough the supply chainRecommend case pack optimization with supply chain/merchantby vendor/skurequirementsRespond to store requests for inventory or replenishment tuning (via systemic request, email, phone or via helpdesk) with thoughtful analysis and quick actionCommunicate product status and updates to stores andDCsin a timely manner.Work with Supply chain and other support teams toexpediteorders whenrequiredResponsible for presentingconsolidatedinventory actions/recommendation in weekly business reviewsWork closely with vendors/suppliers tomaintainfill rate and collaborate with them on planned purchasesCollaborate with suppliers and team members to ensure preplanning activities related toinventory needs are completed by developing/implementing coverage direction for each supplierIdentifyprocess improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.Escalate issues to forecast analyst and business analyst partners as well as your leadersCoach and support new team members during associate onboardingChampions decision and strengths of supply chain and business policies byleveragingexperience, strengths to deliver bestpossible resultCompetencies: Action OrientedCollaboratesCustomer FocusDrives ResultsCommunicates EffectivelyDecision QualitySkills: - 1-3 years of analytical experience (ideally in a retail environment) with emphasis on inventory management - University or College Degree in business or engineering will be considered as a preferred qualification - SAP knowledge would be an asset - Intermediate or advanced proficiency in Excel and/or MS Access - Good analytical skills with the ability to extrapolate pertinent information from various sources (reports and spreadsheets) and analyze data for recommendationsand make data driven decisions - Excellent communication skills; collaborative with effective interpersonal skills; able to work across department - Ability to manage time effectively,prioritizetasks, and pay close attention to detail - Strong customer focus with business acumen, problem solving skills and results orientated - Self -directed, ability to work with limited supervision.Direct Manager/DirectReports: Reports toManager/ SR ManagerIPRTravelRequirements: MinimalPhysicalRequirements: ExampleWorkingConditions: OfficeMinimumEducation: ABachelor'sdegree or Equivalent Work ExperienceMinimum Years of WorkExperience: 1-3 YearsOther Requirements/Assets: Bilingual French/English is an AssetIn our commitment to efficiency, consistency, and a fair hiring experience for all candidates, The Home Depot Canada usesArtificial Intelligence (AI) technology to assist with the screening and assessment of applicantsfor this position.
