Join the Healthy Heart team at St. Paul’s Hospital as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist. This role focuses on providing exercise prescriptions and patient education in a collaborative environment.
You will report to the Physiotherapy Site Leader while working closely with other health care professionals. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in exercise physiology or Kinesiology with at least two years of relevant clinical experience. Skills in ECG interpretation, patient communication, and teamwork are essential to excel in this impactful role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored exercise prescriptions based on clinical assessments • Educate patients and families on wellness and exercise • Consult regularly with health care teams • Supervise exercise sessions ensuring patient safety • Maintain patient records and track progress
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology or Kinesiology • Two years of experience in cardiac rehabilitation • Certification as Clinical Exercise Physiologist • Robust ability to work independently and collaboratively • Knowledge of 12 lead ECG interpretation
