Join North Bay Regional Health Centre as a Registered Nurse in the Regional Dementia Care Program. Focus on patient-driven, recovery-oriented care for older adults with complex needs in a cooperative environment.
In this role, you will provide specialized assessment and treatment for older adults with age-related dementia and behavioral challenges. The position demands expertise in neurodegenerative disorders, trauma-informed care, and concurrent disorders. Your ability to lead and work within a multidisciplinary team will enhance patient coping skills and support their transition back to community living.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and treat mental health and behavioral issues • Collaborate with the health team for patient care • Implement recovery-oriented practices • Provide health teaching to individuals and groups • Maintain documentation and compliance with regulations
Requirements: • Valid Certificate of Registration from College of Nurses • Current Basic Life Support certification • Experience with older adults and responsive behaviors • Knowledge of mental health acts and recovery models • Bilingual in English and French required
