OverviewThe Dispatch Coordinator is the central point of contact for base catering operations. The position develops and maintains detailed operational planning which includes administrative, implementation, and follow up tasks for Sky Café bases. Works with the team to understand and assist with tracking all work, task, and operational processes.Core CompetenciesExceptional communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization, both oral and writtenAble to work efficiently as a part of the team as well as individuallyAbility to work under pressure and meet set deadlinesAttention to detail in all areas of workHigh level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or factsAbove average organizational, time management and prioritizing skillsComfortable presenting materials and reports to senior managementHigh level of personal integrityStrong work ethic and positive team attitudeInterpret and implement company policies and proceduresMotivate staff to meet associated goals as required for effective protected day to day operationsDeal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all timesWork co-operatively between key management personnel and co-workers to achieve company goals and maintain safe and smooth operationsPrepare for and respond to unforeseen changes/challenges related to safety and operations performance as it pertains to day to day operationsSuccessfully multitask and handle changing prioritiesWork well under pressure and meet set deadlinesConsistently demonstrate a safety focused mindsetKey ResponsibilitiesAttend to and Report all issues/calls regarding each flightPerform operational pre-shift huddle meetings with entire staff on dutyReview previous shift emails and ensure that they are all addressed/responded toReport all staff late arrival times, early leaves, and absenteeismUpdate DFI (AirTransat) and other airlines revisions onto blocks to include revised timings, updated gates, aircraft locations, tow times, and gates for all aircrafts must be included on each blockReport any pending strips that were not done during the shift and the reason for it not being strippedConfirm all drivers have had the opportunity to take their break(s)Maintain communication with all drivers and ensure that they are where they are supposed to be, and they are returning to the base in a timely mannerMaintain constant communication with crew members and/or airlines operational staff or representativesUpdate next day blocks for AM/PM and put names of drivers and shift times and corresponding truck that they are to use and inform Manager/Supervisor regarding any deviations in manpower schedulingEnsure that blocks for following days are created properly and drivers are confirmed for the following day – trucks should be assigned according to the flights that they are doingEvery single occurrence that is outside of normal operations must be communicated to Airlines as they occur (in real time)At the end of each shift, ensure that all lights have been shut off on all trucks, and check the back of the warehouse and all trucks for cleanliness, fuel, etc.Must ensure that crew is back from break on time,



any downtime must be utilized by getting ahead on loading of the trucks, cleaning of the trucks, and/or building bulk itemsDispatch will be cross trained on different aspects of the Warehouse operations and build bulk and iceUpdate GPET according to the shift worked – GPET MUST BE UPDATED FOR ALL FLIGHT SERVICED PER SHIFT including double checking for accuracy to ensure that all extra charges and information is inputted correctlyEnsure that the Security declaration is completed for each flightEnsure that carrier check lists are completed and uploaded onto Google DriveEnsure that the Driver Log is completed in full and any issues with the truck is reported on the driver logRequirements1-3 years Administrative and Coordination experienceMS Office, experience is preferredWord, Excel, Outlook experience is essentialBe at least 18 years oldAbility to work on a permanent basis in CanadaObtain a clear criminal recordMust obtain necessary airport and/or Transport Canada security clearancesMust obtain necessary airport vehicle operator permitMust be capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 70lbs on a regular basisAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays and varying schedule and be available on call as requiredMust successfully complete airline and corporate specific training programs and recertificationJob Family CABJob Function CAB - Cabin Cleaning - JanitoralPay Type HourlyHiring Min Rate 26.10 CAD#J-18808-Ljbffr
