As our practice continues to expand, we are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team and support our accounting and tax operations. Position Overview

Sapere is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with 1–2 years of experience in an accounting firm. This role will support the accounting and tax team with financial reporting, bookkeeping, tax preparation assistance, and client communication. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working in a professional accounting workplace and is comfortable managing accounting records, supporting tax filings, and working closely with team members to meet client deadlines. Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Work on bookkeeping, reconciliations,



and general accounting tasks Prepare personal (T1) and corporate (T2) tax returns Prepare GST/HST filings and related documentation Prepare working papers and assist with financial reporting Communicate with clients regarding required documents and accounting information Maintain organized digital client files and accounting records Support accountants and managers with day-to-day accounting tasks Assist in meeting filing deadlines and maintaining workflow efficiency Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in an accounting firm Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field Knowledge of Canadian tax (T1, T2, GST/HST) Familiarity with CaseWare is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills
