Temporary Kitchen Assistant

Part time 10-month position

Crescent Heights High School is seeking a part time Kitchen Assistant to work 24 - 30 hours per week. Reporting to the School Sous Chef and division Chef the primary purpose of this role is to provide support to Crescent Heights High School cafeteria.

Duties And Responsibilities

• perform food preparation duties such as, but not limited to, preparing fruits and vegetables, full meals, department catering and serving customers (MPHSD Students) swiftly and efficiently.
• daily preparation of hot and cold items for breakfast, lunch, and breaks, as well as grab and go items

Wage

• $17.65 per hour

Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants with the following Qualifications:

• Alberta Section 31 Food Service and Hygiene course complete or in progress.
• Background in food service or hospitality (no certification required)

Understanding of food allergies and modified diets as we have a wide variety of cultural students.

• Excellent people skills
