Job SummaryFraser Heath is seeking to fill an interim Medical Lead position which provides leadership and direction to the members of the Department of Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Services (AMSUS).Job SummaryFraser Heath is seeking to fill an interim Medical Lead position which provides leadership and direction to the members of the Department of Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Services (AMSUS).ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the Medical Lead include (but are not limited to):Provide leadership and medical oversight of the Regional Rapid Access to Addiction Care Services; Ensure addiction medicine services are provided in alignment with regional evidence base and evidence informed standards of care; Laise with other Addiction Medicine medical leads to ensure appropriate service provision throughout the region; In collaboration with the Program Medical Director, Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Services, develop quality improvement strategies.The above medical lead role will report and be accountable to the Program Medical Director and Regional Department Head of Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Services.Recruitment will proceed as per the FHA Medical Staff Bylaws.QualificationsThe successful candidate must:Have current licensure with CPSBC and current CMPA coverageHave CCFP or FRCPCBe an active medical staff member of the Fraser Health Authority Mental Health and Substance Use ProgramDemonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional developmentKey AccountabilitiesReporting to the Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Services (AMSUS) Program Medical Director/Regional Department Head, the responsibilities of the Medical Lead will include,
