The candidate will be responsible for providing fabrication assistance, repairs, rebuilds as well as centrally delivered maintenance and emergency response to all units. The welder will provide centrally delivered maintenance and fabrication projects to all locations.
General Responsibilities
- Fabrication of products manufactured from materials including but not limited to metal, PVC
- Electric fan motor repair and testing
- Completion of centrally delivered facility and equipment maintenance projects
- Emergency response to system, equipment, or structural problems
- Providing assistance to trade persons
- Providing assistance to barn maintenance staff
- Comply with all Biosecurity protocols
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Leave all work sites clean and tidy
- Attend centrally organized training programs
- Trouble shooting problems in systems used in the facilities
- Develop safe innovative solutions to maintenance problems and issues
- Timely response to emergency call outs
- Completion of assigned projects in a timely, safe manner
- Maintain a high quality of work
- Maintain a secure workplace
- Position will include travel to Olymel sites across Saskatchewan & possibly Alberta
- Other duties as required
Education/Experience Required
- Mechanical, welding and wood working experience
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and fabrication
- Ability to work independently, be safety conscious, and a self-starter
- Effective time management skills
- Hold a valid drivers license
