Job Description

We are establishing an ongoing pool of qualified resources that could be contacted if and when a suitable contract prospect is presented. This is not a traditional employment position.

You will be contacted if and when we receive a suitable contract prospect. We anticipate most contracts would be for the Canadian federal government and most of the work to be conducted in Ottawa.

Qualifications

We are looking for junior, intermediate, and senior level system auditors.

The resource must have 5 (5 = junior, 5‑9 = intermediate, 10+ = senior) or more years of experience performing many of the following tasks:

- Review organizational IT policy, standards, and procedures and provide advice on their adequacy.
- Conduct systems under development reviews by reviewing project documentation, conducting interviews, assessing work completed, and reporting on compliance with policy, standards, and procedures as well as progress against the plan.




- Conduct reviews of systems recently implemented and report on benefits actually achieved versus projected benefits, features actually delivered versus stated requirements, the adequacy of controls and system security features, user satisfaction based on surveys or interviews, system performance, and reliability.
- Review systems that have been in production for some time and report on issues, deficiencies, and shortcomings.

Most of the experience should have been obtained working with Canadian Government departments.

The resource should have a valid Government of Canada security clearance at a level of enhanced reliability or higher.

Fluency in English and French will be considered an asset.

Job Location

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Projects will generally be for the Canadian federal government and will be performed in Ottawa.
