We are a unionized sheet metal shop looking for a skilled and dependable TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong TIG welding skills, particularly with light-gauge sheet metal and other light materials, and takes pride in producing clean, exact, high-quality work.

This position is more than just welding. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our sheet metal trade and will be required to enroll in the union and pursue the necessary training and licensing to become a qualified sheet metal worker.

What We’re Looking For
Strong TIG welding skills, particularly on light-gauge materials
Ability to produce clean, precise and consistent welds
Good understanding of welding techniques, equipment and safety practices
Robust attention to detail and pride in workmanship

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Willingness to perform a variety of sheet metal-related duties beyond welding
Commitment to joining the union and developing a career in the sheet metal trade

Responsibilities




TIG weld light-gauge sheet metal and other light materials
Read and work from drawings, measurements and specifications
Prepare, fit and assemble sheet metal components
Perform general sheet metal fabrication and shop duties
Maintain a clean and secure work area
Follow all company and workplace safety procedures
Develop the skills and knowledge required to become a licensed sheet metal worker
