Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated (310T)Truck Mechanic or 310J (Trailer Mechanic) to join our family business located in Brownsville (SW ONT) which is over 30 years old. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance, particularly with trailers & trucks and related equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

The 310T/310J Mechanic will work in a agile environment where attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical issues and safety concerns.
Perform repairs and safety on components, including brakes, axles, lights, and suspension systems.
Utilize hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks.
Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot problems effectively.
Operate heavy machinery such as cranes and forklifts when necessary for repairs.




Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to ensure timely completion of repair work.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work workplace.

Skills
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment relevant to trailer mechanics.
Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
Experience with heavy lifting techniques and physical stamina to handle demanding tasks.
Welding skills are a plus for performing structural repairs on trailers.
Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with attention to detail.
Solid communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
