Join Stantec’s Yukon team as a full time Intermediate Archaeologist, focusing on fieldwork and heritage resource assessments. Make a difference by collaborating on projects that respect Indigenous communities. This position at Stantec requires an Intermediate Archaeologist who can manage technical project aspects efficiently.
Based out of Whitehorse, you will conduct fieldwork, contribute to reports, and mentor team members. You must be eligible to obtain Yukon Class 2 ASR permits within one field season. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct HRIA fieldwork and oversee research assessments
Manage field programs and supervise junior archaeologists
Collect and process field data digitally via ESRI FieldMaps
Engage with Indigenous groups to provide technical recommendations
Draft and support the compilation of technical reports Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in archaeology or anthropology
At least 3 years of field supervision experience
Valid class 5 driver’s license essential
Ability to lift heavy loads and traverse rough terrain
Write technical reports and analyze artifacts effectively Utilize your skills in archaeology to contribute to significant environmental projects with Stantec in Yukon.
