Enhance your skills with the City of Greater Sudbury as a Transit Vehicle Maintenance Staff. This part time, limited casual position focuses on servicing vehicles and maintaining transit facilities. In this role within CUPE 4705 Outside Unit, you will be responsible for cleaning, detailing transit vehicles, and performing yard maintenance.

Shift work is necessary, with responsibilities that extend to reporting mechanical issues and maintaining cleanliness at bus stops and shelters. Successful candidates will demonstrate mechanical knowledge and a commitment to safety. Key Responsibilities:
Service and clean all transit vehicles as required
Ensure fareboxes are emptied nightly
Shuttle and park vehicles in designated areas
Report vehicle leaks and mechanical problems
Assemble and maintain bus shelters and stops Requirements:
Must have completed Secondary School education
Valid Class “DZ” driver’s license or ability to acquire it
Fit to lift 70 lbs and engage in physical activity
Ability to operate hand and power tools
Excellent communication in English, both written and verbal Bring your mechanical skills and attention to detail to support the City’s transit services.
