Support patient well-being as a Recreation Assistant with Vancouver Coastal Health at Banfield Pavilion.

Your role will drive vibrant recreational programming while maintaining compassionate care for clients.

Vancouver Coastal

Health seeks a Recreation Assistant to implement engaging activities that aid in patient recovery and enjoyment. You will work closely with the Recreation Therapist to adapt programs according to individuals’ abilities, organize outings, and coordinate necessary transport logistics. Your observations and reports will directly influence patient engagement and team-oriented care. Key Responsibilities:
Carry out recreation activities in a client-focused manner
Organize and supervise outings for patients and residents




Demonstrate effective recreational techniques and activities
Maintain equipment inventory for recreational programs
Provide relevant observations to the interdisciplinary care team Requirements:
Completion of a recognized Recreation Diploma Program
Class 4 vehicle license may be necessary
Solid communication abilities, both verbal and written
Capability to manage equipment and physical tasks
Skills in teaching and organizational tasks Become a vital part of the compassionate team at Vancouver Coastal Health and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
