Barrie Welding and Machine is looking for someone with robust organizational / communication skills for our STEEL WAREHOUSE.

Main responsibilities
Properly able to read a measuring tape (measure twice, cut once!)
Unloading of steel / sorting / placement of inventory
Cutting steel to specified sizes using various band saws and shears
Organizing of raw materials within our facility
Filling Orders for customers and our shop
Train others within the dept as required.

You are a Self Starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision You have the ability to safely handle heavy parts/steel using overhead cranes

You are capable of working within a team and on your own

You are a self-starter and you can work independently safely

Being a jobbing shop there is overtime that is required.

We are offering a Full-time, Permanent Position

$22 - $ 30 Per Hr. based on your experience!

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A SHOP ENVIROMENT - CUTTING STEEL / HANDLING STEEL .
Must have worked with steel, cutting using a oxy acetylene torch & band saws
Crane experience would be an asset to place raw material away into racks
Must be able to work overtime when required
This is not a Shipping & Receiving position

Experience:
handling Steel: 5 years (preferred)
working with Steel: 5 years (required)
