About the Position

A well-established manufacturing company on Montreal’s South Shore is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse’s shipping activities The person in this role will be responsible for coordinating warehouse operations, supervising a team of employees, and ensuring that products are prepared and shipped on time, accurately, and in compliance with health and safety standards. The Supervisor will play a key role in improving logistics performance, reducing shipping errors, and optimizing warehouse processes.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise, motivate, and manage the shipping and warehouse team.
Plan daily activities based on production priorities and customer orders.
Coordinate the preparation, packaging, labeling, and shipping of products.
Organize shipments and coordinate with carriers.
Ensure compliance with shipping schedules and specific customer requirements.
Ensure inventory accuracy and collaborate with the purchasing and production departments.




Track orders in the ERP/WMS system and verify the accuracy of transactions.
Verify shipping documents, delivery notes, bills of lading, and other required documents.
Quickly identify and resolve issues related to delays, packing errors, damage, or inventory discrepancies.
Participate in investigations regarding non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
Develop and maintain procedures and work instructions for shipping activities.
Monitor performance metrics: on-time shipments, packing errors, productivity, inventory, and transportation costs.
Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing operational efficiency.
Maintain 5S and Lean practices in all areas of work.
Enforce health and safety rules as well as internal procedures.
Train current employees and ensure the career development of team members.
