Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various hand tools, blueprint reading, schematics, and a strong background in construction-related trades. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining sheet metal components across diverse projects, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards.
Candidates with knowledge of construction will be highly valued. A solid work ethic and the ability to interpret technical drawings are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain sheet metal components in commercial and residential settings
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and fastening sheet metal parts
Perform caulking, sealing, and finishing work to ensure airtight and watertight installations
Assist with restoration projects involving sheet metal work
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining safety standards
Needs to have a valid drivers license

Experience
Proven experience working with hand tools in construction or sheet metal fabrication
Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting schematics is required
Familiarity with construction processes including carpentry, restoration, caulking, welding, plumbing, flooring installation, and tile laying is preferred
Prior experience in construction
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a rapid-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety compliance
Pay: $21.35-$39.00 per hour
