We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Primary Care. Ability to manage multiple demands and work in a fast paced environment is essential for this role. Responsibilities
Provide high-quality direct patient care across all ages of life from babies to seniors
Immunization, allergy shots, injections, TB skin test, ear irrigation, wound care, suture/staple removal, wart treatment etc.
Perform Cervical Cancer screening test
Record patient vital signs and symptoms
Educate patients and their families on disease management
Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems
Assist in procedures and treatments as needed
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year experience in Primary Care / FHO clinic
Proficiency in medical terminology and patient assessment
Critical thinking,
effective communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A good team player with strong initiative
Dedication to continue education
License/Certification
A valid Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) license in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)(required)
Current First Aid and CPR certifications
Recent Police Record Check : Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
