Shape the future of research at Dalhousie University as an Associate Legal Counsel. Provide legal counsel on intellectual property and compliance for creative research projects. This role, reporting to the Vice-President, Research and Innovation, requires an individual with a law degree and a minimum of two years of legal experience.
You will work closely with researchers, offering vital advice on contracts and legal issues impacting research and commercialization. The position supports a hybrid working model within Nova Scotia. Key Responsibilities:
Provide guidance on contracts and intellectual property issues
Assist with research contract administration and compliance
Develop research-related legal policies and procedures
Liaise with diverse stakeholders to facilitate agreements
Stay informed about relevant legal developments Requirements:
Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree
At least two years of legal practice
Robust knowledge of intellectual property law
Experience in negotiating and developing policies
