Drive innovative teaching practices at the University of Alberta as an Instructional Designer specializing in AI and assessment. This hybrid role combines remote flexibility with essential campus interactions. The position is a 2-year appointment reporting to the Associate Director at the Centre for Teaching and Learning.
You will play a key role in enhancing instructional effectiveness and supporting faculty through expert consultations on course design and assessment strategies. Your commitment to evidence-informed teaching will be vital in promoting educational excellence. Key Responsibilities:
Provide consultations on instructional technologies and course design
Develop effective and inclusive learning resources
Offer skilled learning tailored to diverse teaching contexts
Help evaluate and improve CTL program offerings
Respond to emerging educational priorities and initiatives Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; Master’s preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in instructional design
Familiarity with adult learning theories
Proficient in utilizing digital technologies for learning
Robust communication and team-oriented abilities Utilize your instructional design skills to enhance teaching and learning strategies with the support of the University of Alberta's CTL.
