Job Summary

MINISO Canada is currently expanding and we are looking for an

Senior Accountant

to support our finance operations across multiple store locations and corporate functions. Work Location: North York, ON Salary Range: Starting from

$60,000 per year,

commensurate with experience Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the full accounting cycle, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and reconciliations. Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Analyze financial data and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Monitor cash flow and support treasury management activities. Review and reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Merchandising, Retail Stores,



and Management to support business objectives. Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff when required. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control procedures. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation completed or in progress is strongly preferred. Minimum

4-6 years of progressive accounting experience , including full-cycle accounting responsibilities. Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting principles and financial reporting processes. Experience with month-end and year-end close procedures. Advanced proficiency in

Excel

(Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query preferred). Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, or similar. Solid analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in retail, distribution, wholesale, or multi-location environments is considered an asset.
