Role: Data Engineer (Snowflake/DB/Python)

Location: Montréal

Long term contract

Required Skills
Intermediate knowledge of development and performance optimization on major RDBMS technologies (e.g., Sybase, DB2; plus exposure/interest in Snowflake/SingleStore is a plus).
Robust scripting skills, especially Python (automation, tooling, diagnostics, data utilities).
Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills
Data modeling concepts (logical/physical modeling, normalization, dimensional modeling).
Version control experience, preferably Git.
Data replication concepts and technologies (CDC, transactional replication, streaming-based patterns).
Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) and CI/CD mindset for data/database delivery.
Experience working in geographically dispersed teams.
Personal attributes: integrity and ownership, solid team player, high motivation to expand technical and business knowledge.
