Board of Education is looking for a dedicated individual to serve as a Temporary Education Assistant from September 8, 2026, until the return of the incumbent. Candidates must possess a Grade 12 certificate and one to two years of training in Special Education.
Key responsibilities include assisting students and employing behaviour management techniques, all while respecting confidentiality. Understanding of contemporary Indigenous issues is essential. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing educational materials for lessons
Follow teacher directions to aid student learning
Operate laminated and binding machines effectively
Communicate sensitive information with tactfulness
Implement behaviour management strategies with students Requirements:
High school diploma with Special Education qualifications
6 months to 1 year of instructional experience
Familiarity with Indigenous culture and history
Basic computer skills for educational settings
