Become a vital part of North Bay Regional Health Centre as a Psychogeriatric Resource Consultant in the Cochrane District. This position focuses on promoting high-quality care for older adults through consultation and cooperative frameworks. As a member of the North East Behavioural Supports Ontario Team, you'll engage with healthcare providers to improve strategies for managing responsive behaviors linked to dementia and other neurological conditions.
Your ability to adapt and represent BSO effectively will enhance care standards across multiple environments. Travel within the Cochrane district is required. Key Responsibilities:
Lead clinical consultations in long-term care and community settings
Collaborate with healthcare teams including Geriatric Psychiatrists
Develop and implement quality improvement protocols
Advocate for best practices in geriatric care
Conduct training and mentorship for healthcare staff Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant health profession; Master’s preferred
Solid background in BSO competencies required
Experience in best practice education needed
Valid driver’s license and transportation access required
