Overview
We have lots of upcoming work in the city of Saint John and surrounding areas for Industrial, Commerical and Residential Electrical work. We will be requiring Apprentice Electricians who live in the area. Must currently be indentured in the province of Recent Brunswick with on-the-job experience.
As a union electrician you will be able to work for 40+ unionized contractors, complete with all of the advantages the union provides. Very competitive wages, vacation pay, pension and benefits. Block 2 & 3 apprentices preferred.
We are seeking motivated and dedicated electricians to join our union. This position is ideal for individuals looking to further their career in the electrical field with benefits and a pension, working as a part of a team. Note the wages advertised are base hourly rates, the actual full package wage is higher than advertised.
Duties
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
Work with low voltage systems, including security alarms, telecommunications, and data networks.
Renovate existing electrical installations to meet updated codes or customer specifications.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using logic controllers and other diagnostic tools.
Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within specifications.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
Indentured apprentice in the Province of NB.
On-the-job electrical experience
