Sensity is seeking a full time Intervenor in Brantford, Ontario, to support individuals who are deafblind. This role focuses on enhancing communication and daily living skills for independence.
As a vital member of Sensity, you will provide personalized support to individuals with dual sensory impairments. This position covers a range of shifts on a rotational schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends, ensuring consistent care. You will develop essential skills while fostering personal growth through meaningful interactions with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support individuals in home and community environments • Use communication techniques to relay information effectively • Empower independent living through personal care assistance • Develop and document individual goals and objectives • Assist in program development and client documentation
Requirements: • Diploma or certificate in related human services field • Experience with developmental disabilities and mental health • Valid Class G driver's license with reliable vehicle • Communication skills in ASL or Signed Exact English • Ability to lift 35 lbs to 50 lbs as needed
