Duties
Safely operate a 5-ton truck to transport freight within Calgary city limits, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight using forklift equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and secure placement
Conduct routine inspections of the truck before and after shifts, including checks on brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels
Assist with freight management by verifying shipment details, documenting deliveries, and maintaining accurate logs
Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts to load or unload cargo efficiently and safely




Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to keep trucks in optimal condition
Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams to coordinate deliveries and pickups promptly

Experience
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) suitable for operating a 5-ton truck within city limits
Proven experience in commercial driving and freight delivery in an urban workplace
Hands-on experience with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling
Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
Familiarity with safety protocols related to heavy vehicle operation and freight handling
Ability to navigate Calgary’s streets confidently while maintaining punctuality and professionalism
